Privacy policy

What we collect

If you submit the enquiry form we collect the name, work email address, organisation, enquiry category and message you provide. We do not ask for and do not want any other category of personal information at first contact.

Our host records standard technical request data — IP address, user agent, timestamp and requested path — for security, abuse prevention and availability purposes. This is ordinary web server logging and is retained by our infrastructure provider under their own retention schedule.

What we do not do

• We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics pixels or social media tracking scripts on this site.
• We do not set marketing or profiling cookies. The site functions without any cookies being set by us.
• We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone, in any circumstance.
• We do not load fonts, scripts or assets from third-party content delivery networks, so your visit is not disclosed to any other party by the act of loading a page.

Why we hold it and how long

Enquiry information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and, where an engagement follows, to administer that engagement. We retain enquiry correspondence for as long as there is a live commercial relationship, and for a reasonable period afterwards for business record purposes, after which it is deleted.

Where it is stored

Enquiry messages are delivered to a business email account and may be stored on servers located outside New Zealand. Where information is transferred overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable safeguards are in place, as required by Information Privacy Principle 12 of the Privacy Act 2020.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and request correction of it. Write to admin@innovait.co.nz and we will respond within 20 working days.

If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS only, with HTTP Strict Transport Security enforced. It is a static site with no database and no content management system. Enquiry submissions are transmitted over TLS. We apply multi-factor authentication to the administrative accounts controlling the domain, DNS and email.
